Overview

Campfire Games is a local-multiplayer party game app. There are no user accounts, no sign-ups, and no login — you just pick a nickname on your device and play. This policy explains the little data the app does touch and where it goes.

Information collected on your device

When you host or join a game, your chosen nickname, avatar, and in-game answers are shared directly with the other phones in that session over Bluetooth. This connection is local and peer-to-peer — it does not pass through any server we operate, and we never see or store it. Your quizzes, game history, and stats are saved only in a local database on your device and are never uploaded anywhere.

AI-generated trivia questions

When you create a Trivia quiz, the topic, audience, and question count you type in are sent to our question-generation service, which uses Anthropic's Claude API to write the questions. That request text is processed by Anthropic to generate your quiz and is not linked to any account, since the app has none. App updates

Campfire Games uses Expo's update service to deliver bug fixes between App Store and Play Store releases. This service may receive basic technical information (such as app version and device platform) needed to check for and deliver an update. It does not include your nickname, quizzes, or game data.

What we don't do

We don't collect your location, contacts, photos, or any personally identifying information. We don't run analytics or tracking SDKs, and we don't show ads or sell or share data with advertisers.

Children's privacy

Campfire Games is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new effective date.
